SelinaI think it depends on the situations. If I find myself fit for immortality, that is, living a meaningful and useful life here on earth, I will only choose computers that I can interact with. I would love to have a computer that not only puts all of my information on it, but also takes in all of my connections with the outside world. I would love to have a copy of my brain, a copy of my soul that lives forever in a different way. And if the computer can't interaction, can not meet the emotional needs of mine, I can selectively replicate information to the brain, for home computer science delete my emotional areas of activity in the brain, in order to avoid make me feel lonely, then the rest of the brain activity as a legacy to do research, also like Einstein, his contributions to the world to do research, try our best to contribute to the world. And when I find that I'm not fit for immortality, when I have some dark sorrows and secrets, or when society accuses me of a great crime, I choose not to have the brain copied, because that's my release. I will use my self-control to persuade myself to accept my own death.

葛玉雪I'm unwill to do this. It's not a way to acheive the purpose of immortality, It's a way to imprison our brain. In my opinion, immortality means we can free to move with the change of world structure both in physically and mentally. But in this part, what we could is just store our brain activity, we can't use it to create something or achievements. So it has no different in death. It's just a decoration In another view, I'm afraid that if someone can recognize or copy our brain completely. In that case, there is no privacy in the world.

I won’t allow myself to be converted to that computer.
The most tantalising selling point about that product is
immortality, which did appeal to me for a moment. But do I really want to be immortal? If so, as
what kind of form I am willing to exist?
Imagine I am about to die, in what kind of situation that my will of clinging to life would be at maximum? I think it would be most likely to happen when I have unfinished business or deferred dreams. For example, suppose my life is taken so quickly and brutally by an air crash, then I would appraise the idea of being immortal. This could happen even when I die peacefully from old age, as I am looking back to those good old days and gazing upon those
loving faces around me, the desire to linger on for a while can be very strong. Plus, the conviction of loneliness and the unknown about the afterlife is also terrifying. But all I want is to live longer, at least to die gracefully. Immortality would alter my sense of time. Though I cannot change the past, but I do not need to feel regret as there will always be time for me to make compensation or have a try. At best, I would become a procrastinator; at worst, I would be a shameless and unproductive form of existence. It could be worse. So before this becomes inevitable, I had better live to the fullest within limited lifespan.

LiumiI think it depends on the situation. For the moment, I don't think so,because I live in a group, a family, a class, etc., my world is made up of communities. There are many independent individuals in the community. Among the individuals, there are family members and friends I love, even cats and dogs. If I choose to enter, then it must be those individuals who have their own independent will willing to enter. I think it is not enough for a person to live on the physical thing. We need more emotional communication and spiritual support. If the free will and things with emotion and soul can't be given to me in the virtual world, then I feel isolated from the world, or imprisoned, so I don't want to go in. But if I face the death or serious disease, I think it's maybe a good thing to try to extend my life. Then my family and I may not be so painful, but think that I really went to another world.

袁雨欣 NicoleGenerally speaking, when the person was claimed the death of brain, himself was dead in physical and his body became meaningless. If the experiment can story one's brain activity in the computer and make someone's brain rebirthed by technology, it is interesting, but a little terrible. And I am not willing to do that. If the computer can also bring us real contact with the world such as interpersonal communication. In a sense, you've got eternal life of longer relationship with real society. But gaining eternal life is too boring for me. Transfer brain waves into a machine for longevity, even making it better to achieve self improvement. but as an independent individuals, we could lose the ability to seek our own values and repeat experiences in lonely time. In my opinion, the death is also necessary part in our lives. Death is unpredictable, limited time is more precious for everyone.

胡若曦I am unwilling to do achieve immortality. sometimes, life can make me tired, so I want to rest in peace rather than being alive forever in another form. However, it is necessary for ancient emperors and great leaders to be immortal so that great ideas can be passed on. As an ordinary person, I don't want to involve in.
