朱晓宇I think it's a general problem of different classes. Personally speaking, in Pride and Prejudice, the marriage problem always revolved around property, money and status. We can see that when Darcy proposed to Elizabeth for the first time, he said bluntly that Bennet's family was not aristocratic, and he thought that Elizabeth's family status and identity gap were his own disadvantage. Darcy's arrogant attitude made Elizabeth even more angry and directly rejected his proposal. So at first, class gap is a main problem. Otherwise, It was class, to judge from Jane and Bingley, that held Bingley back at first.
