    A ccording to the information online, l iterary nonsense often defies common sense and creates an entirely new world through the manipulation of language. A nd i t constructs then deconstructs the very meaning of words and, through this process, reveals how arbitrary the semantics (or meaning) of language can be.  A great many examples are located in Chapter IX. 'We called him Tortoise because he taught us'. ‘That's the reason they're called lessons, because they lessen from day to day.' In my opinion, the use of nonsense bring a lot of fun to readers, most of whom are children. Secondly, it challenges the rules of grammar, of meaning and other things that’s so static in the real world.

    I n Chapter II, Alice wants to know the ‘change’ in herself in Wonderland, so she compares herself to the peers she know in the real world. S he considers herself as knowledgeable but makes naive mistakes like ‘four times five is twelve’, which are quite amusing. A nd sooner, she slips into salt water-- the tear she wept. In this case,   A lice may literally be drowned in her own sorrow.

    After Alice goes down the rabbit hole, t he first thing she misses is her cat--- Dinah. T hen in Chapter IV, Alice thinks that ‘it was much pleasanter at home’. Despite some enchantment to the nostalgia, Alice is fascinated by what she experiences in Wonderland. She  believes that this sort of life is ‘rather curious’ and she enjoys herself being in the middle of a fairy-tale.
