Alice's Adventures in Wonderland tells the story of a young girl, Alice, who chases a talking white rabbit with a pocket watch down a rabbit hole and falls into a magical underground world. In this world, a drink of water can shrink to the size of a mouse, eat a piece of cake and become a giant, eat the same piece of mushroom on the right side of the short, eat the left side of the tall, dogs growl and wag their tails when angry, but cats growl and wag their tails because they are happy. In this world, there seems to be something odd about everything we eat. She also meets a host of people and animals: the Dodo, Lizard Bill, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, March Hare, etc. In the big garden behind a small door she came upon a full deck of cards, with the rough Queen of hearts, the good-old King of hearts, the swaggering Jack of hearts, and so on.
