  Gulliver's Travels uses a lot of ironic techniques, and sharp irony has become the soul of this work, which impressing me most deeply in a plot of Lilliput. In this miniature realm, neighbors seek not only to conquer but to enslave each other. The king of Lilliput selected officials by means of rope competition. In order to get a few colorful silk threads awarded by the king, the officials even made ridiculous performances like clowns. Without more language the little man‘s performance enables me deeply understand. The author's sharp views and fierce language directly stab those who constantly pursue fame, merit and benefit in the political society at that time and even today. I deem that they are supposed to be calm down to read these words to clean their dusty heart.
