《红字》读后感2

   I've nearly finished reading THE SCARLET LETTER written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It's really a sad story about love and religion. 
  In this story, the heroine，Hester Prynne，is a brave woman. Although she was married with a knowledgeable but ugly old man Arthur Dimmesdale, she was still courageous enough to chase her true love after she heard her husband had died.But things changed one day, when she was discovered that she was pregnant, all the believer of the religion they believed on thier island wanted to punish her by giving her the scarlet letter. What's worse, her husband didn't died and also came to the island, feeling that she had betrayed him. With a lot of anger, he decided to give the heroine revenge.In a word, the whole story made me.want to cry.
  It's truly a sad story but worth to read.
