   In my winter vacation,I read a book written by Gu hongming,a superior man in Chinese history.The book which has exact language,original understanding and meticulous analysis,has an active impact on me.This book is aim to introduce and elaborate the spirit of Chinese people from several different aspects,through which I can realise and learn more about we Chinese people and literature.This book expounds and interprets the connotation and value of Chinese people's personal spirit from the aspects of Chinese etiquette, Chinese women, Chinese studies and sinologists.This book begins with a comment of the problem of modern Europe，the author believes that if we want to solve this problem, we can learn from Chinese civilization.Words reveal worship and self-confidence of Chinese civilization.The author tries to let more people know about Chinese civilization, and to carry it forward, he is also introducing Chinese people to the world.
   Chineseman is not barbaric,cruel and vicious,real Chineseman is gentle.We live a spiritual life of humanity and friendship.It is confirmed what the author said that children and uneducated people can easily learn Chinese language.Because Chinese language is spiritual language,It can express the deepest feelings in simple language.When it comes to the lack of accuracy in Chinese life, it is because we live with our will and without rigidity.It it the example of the author that although as Chinese we have not carefully thought about ,we can evoke emotional resonance.And when I think about it, I have a deeper understanding.The purpose of this book is not only to introduce Chinese civilization and spirit to the world, but also to enlighten and educate our people.It gives us a new and profound understanding of the characteristics of our kind of people that we have never studied in depth.No matter how the times change, our national spirit will remain young forever, because it is the perfect combination of Chinese soul and reason
    As a retail of Chinese civilization, Confucius'Confucianism has risen to the position of national religion.Soaked by Confucianism, the Chinese regard loyalty to the emperor and filial piety to their parents as their responsibilities and obligations.Compared to European culture, the reason why Chinese civilization does not need religion is clear.Human needs religion.Religion can give people a sense of security and eternity .However,Confucianism can replace religion.The reason why Confucius is immortal in the hearts of the Chinese people is that he gives us a national concept - emphasizing honor and responsibility.It gathers the will of all people,which has become a thing that we Chinese follow and search for.This is no longer compulsory and passive,It is a born ability.It consists the splendid spirit of the Chinese people - sense of honor, loyalty.
   What I admire most is the author's explanation of concubines in ancient China, which is a selfless sacrifice.The husband feeds his family,devotes himself to his country and emperor.He sacrificed his time, his health, and even his life.The wife agreed to take concubines for her husband because of her love for her husband, which is also a sacrifice. I think this is a kind of pay, is mutual, continuous.
