Hope in domestic trouble and foreign invasion

      How fantastic the word writer Gu say and how compelling the spirit which we do not realize that Chinese people do have .

First of all, the writing skill of master Gu is great. However, different from the material objects, the spirit of Chinese is difficult to be explained. In the preface, he used parallelism which can make readers think deeper. He used contrast, such as contrasting the system of England and Germany, getting the conclusion that their systems are violent and analysising the course of it, finally saying why the system of china is so gentle: just because of the spirit of Chinese. When I read here, I can’t help to respect the details of master Gu. He can elaborate his viewpoint from the different perspectives we can’t imagine. It’s difficult for our students to think an object from the angle of system, culture and history.  From the easy question to the difficult question, from the narrow question to the abstruse question, master Gu explained the topic gradually and exactly. 

 After describing the kill master using in the article, I will explain the spirit of Chinese following the step of master Gu, just in my view. Master Gu explain the spirit with the angle of morality, faith, custom and future. He praises the Chinese people that they are looking forward to peace, they are hardworking, they are simple and artless, they are frail so that they can’t defend themselves usually, they are depend on laws and morality. What a kind group of man. However in our history, women were always bullied because the culture. “Nay, even if you will compare the old Hebrew feminine ideal, the woman who layeth her hands to the spindle and whose fingers hold the distaff, who looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness, with the up—to—date modern Chinese woman who layeth her hands on the piano and whose fingers hold a big bouquet, who, dressed in tight fitting yellow dress with a band of tinsel gold around her head, goes to show herself and sing before a miscellaneous crowd in the Confucian Association Hall: if you compare these two feminine ideals, you will then know how fast and far modern China is drifting away from true civilisation. “ However, in the last part, no, as we all know, we can see in modern times, Chinese people were in difficult situation: “By this new Magna Charta of Loyalty, the people of the countries now at war must swear: first not to discuss, meddle or interfere in any way with the politics of the present war; secondly, absolutely to accept, submit to and abide by whatever terms of peace their actual rulers may decide upon among themselves.” In these domestic trouble and foreign invasion, Chinese men were in embarrassing situation. So master Gu , enumerated many examples which can explore the chaste spirit of Chinese. However, nowadays, many Chinese forget the spirit maybe because economic globalization or the dark thought covered deeply. Faithfully hope the society can be more peaceful.
