Flower Fables is the first work published by Louisa May Alcott in 1854. The book was a compilation of fanciful stories first written six years earlier for Ellen Emerson，the daughter of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Louise May Alcott(1832-1888) is American author known for her children's books, especially the classic Little Women. She is also an abolitionist and a feminist.
