Oliver Twist is Dickens' second novel, and it is also one of his outstanding works in his early creation. "It was not fashionable at that time to write novels that reflected the tragic reality of life, but Dickens intended to shock the readers." This novel shows us how little olivertwest, an orphan in a world full of poverty and crime, was devastated by the terror and violence hidden in the narrow, dirty and remote streets of London, and how he received the warm care of some kind-hearted people like spring. The various figures appearing here all represent a profound human nature. The flower of good and the flower of evil bloom at the same time, which makes our readers throw themselves into endless life thinking while crying out. As for little Oliver, "the writer poured infinite sympathy and deep love for millions of helpless and weak people in the society into the child protagonist." In little Oliver's body, it clearly reflects the pure and good nature, the desire for good and the spirit of fighting against the dark reality.
