了不起的盖茨比书评2 蔡雨晴

There must be resounding
Daisy is Gatsby’s dream. We saw the great power of dreams, which turned a young man into a rich man on the East Coast. Years later, the poor boy Gates made a name for himself and bought a huge mansion on the other side of the Daisy House in Long Island, New York. He did not dare to rush to visit Daisy, but he only held a luxurious party that he never refused. He hoped that one day he could attract the attention of Daisy, but Daisy never came. Near midnight, Gatsby walked out of the lively party and looked at Daisy’s home—“He stretched out his arms toward the dark waters, it’s weird, even though I’m far from him, I’m I can swear that he is shaking. I can't help but look at the sea - I can't see anything, except for a green light, small and far, maybe the end of a pier."
In a series of recollections and reflections by Nick, we learned that Gatsby seems to realize that the reality of Daisy is not as perfect as his dreams, but Gatsby is still fighting against reality until he is killed.
Dreams are sometimes very pale, and when the dreams are broken, it is so devastating.
Bernard Shaw once said that "there are two major tragedies in life. One is that you don't get what you love, and the other is that you get what you love."
