Although in an unproper way, he made his fortune just for a simple reason that he was desperate to get Daisy’s love back. However, Daisy and her husband whocan be seen as the representatives of upper-class people that would never accept Gatsby as a member of them, were just in the contrary. In spite of their good origins, they had been lostin the material, being the slave of money. There personality can never be worthy of the reputation they enjoyed. Surrounded by those selfish and sleek people, Gatsby was more than great for his noble personality.
