I’ve been always thought about, why the author took Gatsby as a great man. I finally find the answer after I finishing reading this book. Gatsby is a typical rich man of the 30 in last century. However, he pursued fortune, social status for love, while others for their desires. The highlight of the story is that Gatsby never lost his faith in his dream. Daisy was just the beautiful green light in his life which he can never grasp but always direct him to a brighter life. What can be confirmed was that his death was the result of being a ‘high-bouncing lover’.
