These stories were told in the first person and Nick is a great narrator ,which made the stories more believable .In the book’s first chapter ,Nick gave the background of the story and his mind flashed back to his visit to Daisy’s house .Following him, we have some knowledge of  the personalities of three main characters .Tom Buchanan was not loyal to his family .Daisy had  a exciting voice which the men caring about her found difficult to forget .Jordan Baker seemed to have mastered a certain hardy skepticism. What’s more ,in the first chapter ,there are few descriptions about the hero of the novel ,which enhances the mystery of person and appeals to the readers to read on .In the second chapter ,there are still few descriptions about the hero .He  came to the stage until the third chapter .
