China's spiritual palace

"When you go to China, you can not see the Forbidden City, but you have to see Gu Hongming.” This is the saying that a lot of people saying in that time.
During the world war 1, when the whole world was suffering from the war, Gu Hongming pointed out a way to the Chinese people and the whole world in words, that is the spirit and backbone of the Chinese nation.
Who is Gu Hongming?
Known as the master of Chinese and western learning, with 13 doctor degrees, has been nominated for the Nobel Prize,is a master.
Thought as a child, the master's book, theory as a whole must be accurate and must be obscure, when the master word is coaxed to the throne, Gu Hungming’s book let me clearly saw an ordinary people, his remarks may not be correct, especially for his harem system understanding, but no matter what words, love is under it.
I have never read such a book, I've been thinking about this genre are sniffy, spirit of the Chinese people, such a macro subject, in a book to analysis of the things in five thousand years, to the idea of China’s hundreds of millions of people throughout the history, thought it is a book makes no sense. But the direction of the author's narrative is not what I thought it would be.
Religion is indeed of vital importance to a country. In the past, religious belief determined the survival of a country in European countries, and the war between paganism and so-called formal religion never ended. However, Chinese people are not fanatical about the pursuit of religion.I have read an article before, which believes that Chinese people believe in god, but we do not believe in great gods but small gods. The worship of the jade emperor can not compare with the incense of the city god temple, which is the phenomenon of Chinese religious belief. In high school, I wanted to be a zen or a Christian to seek discipline and self-reflection, but I didn’t. I always think that Chinese people lack of faith, but the theory in this book fascinates me. Chinese people do not need faith. Chinese people have been influenced by Confucianism since the childhood, and they do not need any religionsin China.
The book also talks about language, which is indeed the most important and magical product in the world. After reading this book, I feel deeply proud of Chinese characters. The way Chinese language expresses its feelings, the meaning it implies, and the beauty of its characters are the pride of China, which has been used as a model for other countries.
The whole book explores the Chinese spirit around the specific language, belief issues, and other characteristics of China. I think China is a kind of utopia in a way. A hundred years ago, the master preached the great Chinese spirit to the world in English. Gu hongming's words are like poems, which flow into everyone's heart slowly and gently, and then stir up one's love for China like water.
