作者简介

洛根·皮尔索尔·史密斯（1865—1946），生于美国费城，但大半生在英国度过，主要致力于英国语言的研究。主要作品有《亨利·沃顿爵士传记》、《读莎士比亚》、《弥尔顿和他的现代评论家》、《难忘的年代》等。

Logan Pearsall Smith (18 October 1865—2 March 1946) was an American-born essayist and critic. Smith was an authority on 17th century divines. He was known for his aphorisms and epigrams, and his Trivia has been highly rated. He is now probably most remembered for his autobiography Unforgotten Years (1938).
