About The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby, the book’s background is about The Lost Generation, a group of writers appeared after the world war one, just for showing their disappointment and unsatisfied to the American society. And the story of the book is about “me”, Gatsby, Daisy, and Tom, which are all from the western part of America. Meanwhile, It also describes a colorful life and scenes in America to us readers. What impressed me most is that Gatsby’s house is always full of different people invited to the party by him on Saturday evening. While, when everyone who joined the party knows Gatsby’s death, they all find excuses to escape from his funeral’s invitation. And as the author said, “This has been a story of the West, Tom and Gatsby, Jordan and Daisy, and I, were all Westerners, and perhaps we possessed some deficiency in common which made us subtly unadaptable to Eastern life.” But, in my point of view, it’s not just a story of five people but a life track. Though Gatsby is a successful and great man in the face of point, actually he is a mysterious man.
