What The Great Gatsby  trying to tell us?

  This book may be just a simple life experience and personal feelings, especially like a child who studied hard for his mother's love, and finally made great progress, but his mother still didn't praise him, or even ignored all his efforts, and finally got empty disappointment. Such a story of pure motives and sad consequences. If there had to be a big theme, it was a metaphor for the American dream that was doomed to collapse.

  Gatsby got rich, but he was still despised by people. It tells people that a lot of things that come with birth can't be changed. Gatsby fought all his life and didn't get what the American Dream promised him. This tells people that the American dream is a hoax after all. Gatsby wanted to relive the old dream to prove himself, but died for it. This tells people that one should not be too obsessed with one thing. Only Gatsby can stay true to his original intention.
