Brave new Chinese
After reading Thomas Henry Huxley’s famous works Brave new world, I was surprised by the translation. “Brave”is translated into “美丽”.So, l choose Brave as the title of my book review.
Frankly, before reading this book, Gu left me a bad impression for his favor of women’s little feet. L kept thinking that he is a member of male chauvinism. As the matter of fact, it is my prejudice.
For Gu, his love is great and brave. After his synthesized research, he thought the spirit of Chinese people has three characteristics: deep, broad and simple. Besides this ,he drew a comparison between Chinese and other foreigners. He used his intelligence maintained Chinese’s dignity objectively.
Above all, l thought he is a brave people , we are all brave new Chinese.
