《火焰与词语——吉狄马加诗集》是彝族诗人吉狄马加的诗作精选，汉英对照，由美国汉学家、诗人梅丹理英译。诗人从民族的历史、文化、传统和命运等人文角度入笔，以诗歌的方式向世界倾诉历史、倾诉民族文化，融入带有浓郁民族性的思考。

Words of Fire--Poems of Jidi Majia is a poetry anthology of Chinese poet Jidi Majia. He belongs to Yi ethnic group, which is distributed in North China. The poems were translated by American poet and Sinologist Denis Mair. Jidi Majia's poetry focuses on the history, culture, tradition and destiny of the nation.

作者简介

吉狄马加，彝族，著名诗人、作家、书法家。1961年生于四川大凉山。1982年毕业于西南民族大学中文系。曾任中国作家协会书记处书记、青海省副省长，现任青海省委常委、宣传部长，并兼任中国少数民族作家学会会长，中国诗歌学会顾问。他是中国当代著名的少数民族代表性诗人，同时也是一位具有广泛影响的国际性诗人，已在国内外出版诗集二十余种。

Jidi Majia is Chinese poet and a lieutenant governor of Qinghai province from 2006 to 2010. He was born in 1961 and belongs to an ethnic minority of China, the Yi. He has published numerous poetic anthologies since the 1980s and has won national literature awards, is also considered one of the greatest poets of minorities in China. He is the President of the China Minority Literary Association and Permanent Vice-President of the China Poets' Association.
