“贪污腐败”现象在中国极为常见，近年来，政府的反腐倡廉工作在积极的实施中而且成效显著。但是真正阻碍中国社会进步和经济健康发展的，是由贪污腐败这一现象引发的民众中泛徇私论的一种心态。比如：裙带关系、以跟某某官员认识而展开的一系列行骗行为、食品安全问题等等这些重要的社会问题。腐败不仅是对政治经济的侵蚀，更是构建健康社会的重大威胁。
The corruption is severe within the ruling Party and government hierarchy. But the anti-corruption work has been carried out by government and the results are remarkable. What we really should care about is "a pro-favoritism mentality among the general public". We need a healthy society, and the anti-corruption is not enough to build a fair and healthy society.
“腐败”一词我们已与它不再陌生，与此同时，“反腐”工作也得到了显著的效果。当官员们贪污腐败的罪行被赤裸裸的曝光在民众面前时，我们不应该只看到腐败这一事实。由此衍生出的“民众中泛徇私论的一种心态”才是我们真正该关注，解决的问题。
