This bookcontains two parts: A Book of Nonsense by Edward Lear and Lyrics Pathetic & Humorous from A to Z by Edmund Dulac. The two works both belong to limerick. 爱德华·利尔（Edward Lear，1812—1888），英国著名风景画家、漫画家。出版过3本鸟兽画册、7册附插图的旅行记，以写五行打油诗与打油诗（Nonsense verse）闻名，被称为“英国胡调诗桂冠诗人”，代表作品有《胡调集》等。

埃德蒙·杜拉克（Edmund Dulac，1882—1952），出生于法国，后入籍英国，著名插图画家、诗人，为《阿拉伯之夜（一千零一夜）》、《莎剧暴风雨》、《鲁拜集》、《简爱》等画插图，轰动一时。《谐趣诗A到Z》是谐趣文学中的经典作品。

Edward Lear (12 May 1812, Holloway–29 January 1888, Sanremo) was an English artist, illustrator, musician, author and poet, now known mostly for his literary nonsense in poetry and prose and especially his limericks, a form he popularised.

Edmund Dulac (born Edmond Dulac; October 22, 1882–May 25, 1953) was a French-born, British naturalised magazine illustrator, book illustrator and stamp designer.
