作者简介

威廉·莎士比亚（1564～1616）生于英国一个中产阶级家庭，由于家境富裕，他的童年生活非常惬意。可是，在他十几岁时，家道衰落，他没能上大学。1594年，他成为国王供奉剧团的重要一员，之后一直为该剧团创作，直到去世。他一共写了37部戏剧，作品主要分为四类：历史剧、喜剧、悲剧和浪漫悲喜剧。莎士比亚剧中的十四行诗奠定了他作为有史以来最佳诗人和最佳剧作家的地位。
