A research showed that handsome men can earn a fifth more than a plainer colleague but a beautiful woman is not paid a penny more than her average-looking colleague.

It has long been said that a man with a good sense of humour can make a woman laugh, despite his looks. Now researchers believe the opposite may also be true - attractive men are more amusing.

Another new survey suggests that average-looking men with good manners are among the most trusted, while good-looking men are trusted the least.
